The Blake Archive

I wanted to let you know about the William Blake archive (blakearchive.org), sponsored by the Library of Congress. It's a bit tragic that most of the images in our textbook are in black and white, but the archive has all of the "illuminated" manuscripts in full color. There are also multiple examples of each one so that you can compare them and see the differences (the engraving and hand-coloring process means that none of the copies is exactly the same as any other). Spending an hour or so looking at Blake's art is really worth your time. I promise you will be moved by something you find.
